‍Albert spent 15 years with the South Florida Water Management District, delivering multi-million-dollar modernization programs, maintaining continuity of critical operations, and emphasizing risk mitigation for water management operations. He’s running to protect and improve Boca Raton’s beaches, parks, green space, and athletic amenities that make Boca Raton a stand-out city in the great state of Florida — through transparent decisions, long-term maintenance planning, and measurable results for residents.

‍Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, Albert currently serves as a board member of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (aka Tri Rail). He brings governance discipline and operational accountability to public service. A South Florida business owner, investigator, and security professional, he is the Founder and Managing Partner of R30 Agency, where he leads executive security and investigative work rooted in risk mitigation, managed expectations, and trustworthy professionalism. Transplanted to South Florida from the Northeast since the age of nine, a Vietnam-era veteran, Albert has lived and worked in Boca Raton since 1995.

EXPECTATIONS

NORTH PARK

Transparency and community approval

‍Complete North Park master plan on time and on budget with focus on delivering the family-friendly fields, playgrounds, trails, and open green spaces residents are asking for. No surprise mega-projects. Every major proposal will go through early public workshops and independent studies.

  • Protect the open space
  • Prioritize low-impact amenities that residents want
  • Seek neighborhood approval on large proposals

BEACH RENOURISHMENT

Addressing shoreline erosion

‍I support beach preservation that is permit-solid, science-led, and transparently measured—because Boca’s biggest constraints are real: turtle-season timing, hardbottom protection, and legally defensible permitting. My job is to make sure our investments deliver results without avoidable delays, litigation, or environmental violations.

  • Permits are guardrails; we plan to them
  • Habitat constraints are real; we comply and monitor transparently
  • Regional coordination matters; we don’t export problems to neighbors
  • The District’s power is governance and funding oversight; we use it to demand measurable results

Gumbo Limbo

‍Sea turtle conservation and education

Coastal Stewards' staff attend to injured Sea Turtle, rescued from Gumbo Limbo beach

‍Gumbo Limbo remains a vital sea turtle conservation and environmental education center. While the on-site rehabilitation program formerly operated by Coastal Stewards ended due to funding challenges, the facility has adapted responsibly.

‍That space has been repurposed into a high-quality educational environment that deepens public understanding of the smallest of creatures in our coastal ecosystem.

‍Importantly, Gumbo Limbo’s expert staff continue to play a critical role in sea turtle rescue efforts—responding to calls and ensuring injured and stranded turtles are transported to qualified rehabilitation centers.

‍The dedication of our Beaches and Parks professionals, to our community and the environment, is truly inspiring.

‍I look forward to working closely with the leadership team, residents, nonprofit partners, and local and state officials to do what is necessary to preserve and protect our open spaces—for the benefit of both the natural environment and the residents who rely on them.
